Screen printing, better known as “screen printing” in English, is a method that involves pushing/pressing paint through a photochemically treated surface, most often using emulsion. The paint then forms the desired image or text. A screen printing frame consists of a wooden, aluminum or steel frame, over which a finely woven cloth is stretched – almost like a canvas. The cloth is covered with a dense coating where the color is to penetrate. In order to achieve a print, the screen must have been post-treated with a photochemical treatment.

Hot press, also known as heat press, is a technique that uses heat and pressure to transfer a design from a transfer film or paper to a textile or other material. The process involves placing a design – typically printed on a special transfer film – onto the desired material, then activating the heat press to apply heat and pressure for a short period of time. During this process, the ink or transfer material melts, permanently bonding it to the surface.
